I have a 1989 Bonne LE w/ a code 41, cam sensor circuit fault, the light came on just after I hit passing gear. Any advice greatly welcome.

You have thrown the magnet out of the timeing gear sprocket. when
passing under high RPM. The holder is plactic and get brittle with age, plan on timeing gears and chain replacement as well as the magnet.
