Lotus Super 7 kitbash

Finally completed! This Tamiya kit was absolute joy to modify and build. Inspiration for the build came from all the real life Caterham/Super 7's on the net and all the builds I could locate here at AF.

The project took longer than normal because it's my first build in several years (I had to remember how to do things) and the fact that I've been a racing car builder almost exclusively. That is, with racing kits the goal is to replicate the real thing so little room for imagination and no need to decide on things such as colour, trim, details or form. The only parts that escaped modification are the front suspension arms (C7,C9) and rear axle tracking links (A17) and headlamp bezel and lens (B2, D4)

The WIP is here: http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbul...d.php?t=933508

I hope you enjoy and any questions or comments are welcome.

Excellent, love how it's turned out, love the little details. Great colour too.

Nice...a lot of good ideas. Personal opinion, I dont like the wheels, are they from the Revel Mini? Other than that..perfect!

All power and no weight... gotta love it! I watched your build and you did a wonderful job taking a simple kit and making it well detailed and one of a kind!
