rx-7 F3000 v-opt project

Hi everyone, been a long time not posting here. As I been drifting away to 'Gundam' models after I end my business few years ago. I lost all my 'mojo' to scratchbuilding or even build a straight to box car model. After watching too much cable tv, play too much xbox360 games, and lazy enough. I want to come back but I fogotten how to scratchbuild. So here I try to start from basic again, show you my new project... Some might ask where are those I built the past, most of time I give away or throw after I moved my new home. Enough talk, here my new 'slow' project...
It's a RX-7 by Fujimi, I cut the center and narrow it down, this is the basic shape you will form.

And...I also need to cut the interior and under chassis too.

I've selected this Aoshima wheel as my build here, as I don't have any spare 1/24 scale F1 wheels.

From this pic, the rx-7 side view look like a viper now Now I waiting for my order of disc brake by Crazy Modeler's from Mediamixhobbies.
Comment please... and hope it doesn't bore you.

Huge 7 fan here, hence the forum name, but I'm intrigued as well.

Re: rx-7 F3000 v-opt project

Hey! Long time!

Great to see your back.

Looks like a very interesting project.
When I build cars to this degree, I usually try to make it believable.
by which I mean, engine placement, fuel, passenger seating.
It helps take away some of the the questions.

Just be steady... ya know, do something everyday on the project, and you'll see it through.

It's a good idea.

Welcome back!

Re: rx-7 F3000 v-opt project

didn't see that one coming!

Sidepods... whoa.

I'll reserve judgement until further into the build.

Keep it up, looking good!
