GTI Mileage?

Im looking into getting a GTI 1.8T with about 40,000 miles on it. Im just curious as to how many miles these cars will last and if I will regret getting this. They seem to be really nice cars. Any input??

No one really knows yet, but I have seen numerous cars with 180.000 km/110.000 miles.

My cars only has 10362 miles and I have had it for almost two years, so I cannot give you any advice on that topic (its not that i don't drive, i just have another car that is my daily driver). I have seen many high mileage VW's at the local dealership and they seen to hold up well, so good luck with your new car!

This is off-topic, but my daily driver is a 2000 Toyota Camry LE. DAMN!!! You can hit 60 in about 11 seconds with that monster! I tried to do a burnout by powerbreaking to 2000rpm's (wouldn'y rev any higher??) and nothing happened. I didn't even hear a squeak! I was watching a streetrace between a Chevy Corsica and an Oldmobile Cutlass Supreme and the the Corsica got a squeak, but how come my car can't!!! Oh well, it's my "daily driver" and as long as it works I will be happy.
