Replace bulbs in radio & HVAC head

One by one the HVAC head and radio bulbs are going dead in my 1997 Park Ave. Ideas anyone?

I've seen elswhere on the net that people open up the radio and replace bulbs. I may have seen the HVAC head unit also replaced. Determining the exact bulb for replacement is a question. I believe those have used some small bulbs at Radio Shack.

I've seen postings where the button lights on the steering wheel have been replaced. I'm nervous about using soldering irons around plastic and leather in the car...
