JACCS Accord

This one is ready for all those decals. I have 2 sheets just in case I need them, that will help patch gaps as I think these colors are are hard to match. Body is Krylon White, interior and roll cage are Testor's Metallizer Gun Metal sealed in Tamiya TS-79 Semi-Gloss Clear. Exhaust pipe is Testor's Jet Exhaust over Alclad
Chrome with shadings of clear yellow and blue.

I feel the same way, it seems that lately people don't respond like they used to. The build has to be extremely detailed or scratch built to get responses.

Apart from that, great job on the interior. Looks top notch, good luck with the decals. Just be patient and you should have no probs.

Re: JACCS Accord

Thanks guys, I thought a little unusual but I don't worry about. I just hope my builds give others motivation and ideas. I am happy to share my tips and knowledge from a lifetime of model building.

Re: JACCS Accord

Your whole build is very clean and I think you did a wonderful job getting the most out of the kit parts! Even though it is a curbside kit, the interior looks done in a realistic manner.

I kind of wish you would have plumbed and wired it but, to be honest I usually build mine close to box stock because I don't know where much of the lines should go.

Sorry for not commenting sooner,
Mark

Re: JACCS Accord

Got some decals done today. They are slightly brittle( seems to be a problem with Tamiya Flourescent decals). Just had to make sure they stay flat until ready to come off paper. I do not use solvents, I found it better to use a steaming hot cloth pressed over the decals. They conform intsantly with no wrinkles. Some small cuts here and there help also. I use solvents only down in panel lines and where they wrap under fenders.

Re: JACCS Accord

That decal is a nightmare to put on. Looks like you're up for another SUPER clean build.

Re: JACCS Accord

Has anyone else built this car? If so, what brand and color of paint can be used to to touchup the green and orange areas? Any suggestions appreciated.

Re: JACCS Accord

Wow, great job on those decals, awesome job, its hard to show in photos but those colours are VERY bright, as for fluorence paint not too sure, i think Mr Hobby (Brand) or something like that has a couple of small paint jars.

Re: JACCS Accord

Got all the main color decals done. I found some Flouroscent paints at the Craft Store(A.C. Moore)to touchup small areas.

Re: JACCS Accord

Excellent! For someone like myself who does not go for fully wired interiors yours is a great inspiration. One of the best "out-of-the-box" interiors I have seen. And great work on the decals as well!
Grant.
