replacing 305 heads. any tricks will im here?

I have a 87 Camaro with a 305. I have a Edelbrook 4 bbl 850cfm with a stock intake......No comment on the intake .... i have recently replaced forged crank, bearings, forged rods.pistons, rings, all gaskets, perfomance clutch and pressure plate, borg warner 5 speed man, and many other littel things. about 6 monthes after the rebuild i smoked both heads......I was wondering if there is any tricks i should do while im here to add any more power. It runs mid 11s now and id like it to hit early 10s. Is there any heads without spending buko bucks i could put on it to up my game? ANY SUGGESTIONS WILL BE APPRECEATID!!!

305 heads are VERY limited. The best head for the 305 were the original Trick Flow twisted wedge heads for the 350. They don't make them any more (they had problems).
One thing that comes to mind would be porting them and then installing 1.94" intake valves and 1.5" exhaust.

I find that hard to believe with a 305, stock heads or aftermarket. Unless you're spraying the piss out of it, or boosting the piss out of it.
