Ignition switch replacement and harness?
1997 GTP, I need to know where to get the harness? Is it a dealer only part? Also what do I ask for?
Thanks. |

Re: Ignition switch replacement and harness?
The AC-Delco part number is D1491D (GM# 26068757) and it is not a dealer only part. You may be able to use this Delco number as a cross reference for whatever brand your local auto parts store carries. Just ask for an ignition switch (the harness is part of it).

Re: Ignition switch replacement and harness?
![]() Thats funny. The Autozones in my area carry them or you can order one or get it at Autozone on-line so the part is not dealer only. Made by Duralast PN: LS927. Around $99.00 and they work too since some of our forum members used them. I took the cheap way out and disassembled and cleaned the contacts. Been working ever since. Hey Rich, parts monkey time. ![]()

Ah yes......The infamous parts monkey strikes again!!!!
I don't know how to look it up, so it must be dealer only!!!
