Thumbs up Paint Job?

Best place to get a job in the Pennsylvania Area? I now have a Maroon 97' Maxima and hope to get a Jet Black paint job. I've heard a good paint job could range from 800-2000 bucks. How many coats of paint is necessary to have it shine like brand new? I'm just a lost Maxima enthusiast. Help!

Good Paint jobs range from $1500-$5,000

My paint job was from Black to Yellow with Pearle, so it cost me $3,500. They had to do the door jambs and everything. If you want a color change, it is going to cost way more than $800-$1,500 for a good paint job with at least 3 coats of paint and clear coat.

yeah for that cheap you can get one of those half-assed, maaco paint jobs. they give you like 10 general colors to chose from and they don't paint the inside of your doors or trunk or gas cap.if you really wanna change the color of your car you should have it sand blasted down to the metal and re-primed, painted and finished. this is especailly beneficial if you have rust spots.

That is 100% right...

My stock black paint job looked like my ass since the guy I bought my car from traveled from NJ to CA every other week since he was scared to fly... I had no choice but to change colors because the black was so popular. SO it was either Skyline Yellow or Skyline Blue. I think I made the right choice since nobody else that I know has my Yellow. Anyway... any "different that stock" color on a Max would be SWEET. Let us all know what color you end up going with.

I've been in search of a place. I just recently purchased Ground Control Coilovers and Tokico HP Shocks and it kinda hurt the wallet. But I'm just looking for a decent paint job somewhere in PA. Please help! (fuck Maaco) :smoka:

I have 186,800 miles with NO PROBLEMS

As for a paint shop... my place is called TDS Collision on 25th Street of of Washington Avenue in PA. They are also known as NEW IMAGE AUTO BODY and they have done some crazy ass shit there. They charge $38 per hour for labor which is pretty good. I can give you a name and number if you got the cash.
