engine noise after oil change/sticky lifter maybe, can some one help me

i changed my oil and now my car has a loud ticking rattling noise on the top part of the engine, almost sounds like a noisey lifter like its stuck, may be dirt got inside after the oil change, can someone tell me how to free it up,is there something i can put in the oil,i have had my car running for 2-3 hours now and still there, thanks she's missing bad to ,the engine light is on and feels like she is only working on 5 cyl's like a dead plug, anyone know how i can check to see if a plug is bad,and if there is a bad spark plug would it make the engine rattle on the cyl the plug is not working in.

Got the wires wet most likely spray stuff down with WD40 let it dry out.

thats what i thought but my buddy who works at the g.m garage hooked up the scanner and it was mis firing on all cly's and could'nt give me a definate answer, number one had over a 1000' miss's,and the rest all had 200 +,like i said it was only misty rain last night when i did it,my other buddy who works as a mech says change out all the plugs and wire's,i do not know what to do,even if the plug or plugs or wire or wires are missing is that why the engine is rattling on top like a spark knock, thanks max if you can give me somemore input

3.4 ,scanner shows misfire on all cyl's,what can it be

I changed my oil last night,as soon as i start my car the engine is noisey on top, sounds to me like a dead spark plug or wire, when i rev her up the rattle gets louder,if i really rev her up then she cuts back down almost cutting out completely and returns to normal idle like there is nothing wrong, how can i try and fix this myself, should i buy one plug and change it out in every cyl to see if it corrects the problem, looks like i may have major trouble might just be a coincedence that after i changed my oil then she rattles and miss fires, thanks maxwedge for your input where i told you i had the hood open in misty rain and you said my plugs and wires may be wet but everything looks dry to me,i took the wires off one at a time and look dry,if i take my oil filler cap off and listen inside it sounds like a dead cyl like a dead plug maybe, can some one help me out, this is similiar to my other posts i put on here last night so right now i can't drive my car, another mech told me it had nothing to with the oil change,he sais it was a coincedenace and i may have a clogged injecter or stuck injector and to get a ractchet extension and put on each of the injectors and tap light to see if either frees up,my car was on empty pretty good and was jacked up in the front to change my oil and may have sucked up a little dirt in one of the injectors clogging it,what do you guys think, too dark out now for me to try this, what do you think maxwedge,is it possible for an injector to get clogged and make the engine give multible misfires, she do sound like she is only running on 5 cly's,the code is a dtc po 300 engine misfire detected on 301,302,303,304,305,306,thanks guys need help

if you have operated the vehicle often ,with little gasoline in the tank this is what usually happens to a vehicle this new....

fuel pressure ,replace fuel filter, put 6 gallons of gas in the tank and cross fingers ...

thanks for the info,i'm thinking a clogged injector,i can't understand how changing my fuel filter would solve this problem,is this going to take out the upper rattling in my engine and make the misfire go away, might still be related to a clogged injector and fuel filter maybe

engine misfire on all cly's and rattle on top of 05 3.4 engine

In all my posts of me changing my oil in my 3.4 impala and when i started her up the engine was rattleing and when hooked up to a scanner she showed multiple misfires on all cyl's,i brought her to the g.m dealer today to get her checked out under my extended gmpp warrant that covers all internal engine and tranny and wheel bearings i was told by them they would have to tear down the engine to identify the problem,it may be a burned exhaust valve,a broken push rod or valve spring or even a possible worn or collapsed lifter, the car has been well taken care of in the time i had it with reg oil changes at 5-6000 km's all the time and all the sudden the engine goes like that,g.m mech's say sometimes strange things could happen like that, work good all the time, next day the engine has trouble, will find out more on the exact problem in the next day or 2 when they start the tear down and will let you guys know what happened or what is broken so you guys can know what to look or listen for if this happnes to your impala

2005chevimpala,

Instead of making new posts on what appears to be the same issue how about updating the original post otherwise all it does is cause possible redundant replies or confusion. Your future cooperation is appreciated. Your two posts have been merged together.

What brand oil filter was used? And are you sure the knock sensor located by the oil filter was not disconnected or disturbed.

i always use castrol 5w30,how can the knock sensor play a role in this,if that was gone and yes i did check the wire to see if it was connect,if it were gone that would'nt cause the engine to be rattleing on top would it.

since the oil would be not an issue unless it had plastic particles in it,, I would have then replaced the oil filter...maybe it is defective and ruptured...
I have read FRAM filters have done this..

no i did that right after, replaced the oil and filter again the next day, mechs told me they heard of oil filters doing that, but my noise sounds like ,collapsed lifter, broken spring.valve or valve gide, runs good at idle, rev her up she's noisey, really rev her up and she misses and when she comes down on idle she almost cuts right out running real rough then returns to normal idle like nothings wrong but shows on the scanner misfire on every cyl
