this is a 2 part question. I am looking to buy a front clip so that after many long years of waiting I will finally be able to do an engine swap in my car. I have from what I have seen it looks like venus auto is the best place to get a front clip in california so far as price is concerned. I was wondering if there are any other such insitiutions in the texas, New Mexico, or Oklahoma areas, as I would rather not use my 240 to tow another 240 and a front clip back to tx.

looks like an scc reader. well ive been to theire site and they dont look very reputable plus they dont give warranties, but if you live in the so-cal area and can check the motorsets or clips yourself, then it would be fine.

SCC=Sport Compact Car,it's a magazine,that's most likely what he's talkin about.

Sport Compact Car used Venus Auto to get the SR20 for their Project S13 car. just because of that doesn't mean he's a reader. anyways, i haven't heard much about them, good or bad. most of the big swap places (check the FAQ for a list of websites) are located in Cali.

yeah I checked through all the places on the faq list and some others that I found on google. I was just hoping that I might be able to find a source closer to where I will actually do the swap.

Venus doesn't do the swap. they're just an engine supplier. just in case you didn't know...if you did, then disregard.

yeah I am planning on doing the swap my self. my main problem is getting all my parts out to texas where I will do the work. I will hopefully get a 240 that either has no engine and transmission or the engine and tranny is blown to use as a parts car and also get a front clip. but if I get both in california. I am not sure how well my 240 will tow that weight.
