Question Fan does not blow anything ?

I went to use the heater today but while selecting any fan speed nothing works
the speed selector does switch between 1 to 4 but all i can hear are the vents switching under the dash , but nothing comes out , could this be a faulty switch or perhaps heater core ... ?. not sure what to check first .

any suggestions , thanks , 1993 beretta , 2.2 engine . 160000kms .

If the blower is not running, check the fuse, blower high speed relay, and fusible links.
