Gauges

I have a 87 camaro, the problem i'm having on the inside is the fuel, rpm, oil, & battery gauges don't work. the fuel gauge stays on full when its empty, the rpm gauge jumps over to 7000 and stays there, the oil gauges stays on 60, and the batt gauge works when its running but shows a low charge with a new batt and alt. Fuse's are good on the inside of the car. Is there any other fuse's on the car?

Re: Gauges

that or bad body or engine grounds. if it was a fuse, none of the needles would move at all.

Re: Gauges

another vote on cluster here, pull it and clean the contacts where it plugs in, then try it again

Re: Gauges

I have an 85' Camaro (V6) and I'm looking to upgrade my cluster from the stock V6 (speedometer, Gas gauge and red gauge lights) to a Z28 or IROC gauge cluster. What will be needed to make the upgrade? Are there any electrical modifications necessary?

Post Re: Gauges

On my 88 Iroc Camaro my temperature gauge is stuck at the very top. It won't go down. The 2nd day I bought it I wanted to rev up my baby & when I did the temp gauge just stuck up there. My other gauges work properly but this is aggravating because I can't ever really know what the temp is in my engine. Any advice on this will be thanked.

Email me personally @ [email protected] or reply on here to the post. Thanks!

Re: Gauges

probably the gauge sender, should be located on the intake manifold somewhere with a single green wire attatched.
