Proosens Dodge Charger Daytona

Latest build to get finished by me, the Testors Charger Daytona. Quite a good model despite obvious faults in the instructions, they even omitted the dashboard until it's supposed to mate with the rest of the interior. That leaves the builder to figure out by himself what goes where and if you're not very experienced I think it will give you a bit of a problem.
Otherwise the parts fit is good and the details are good.

The interior is airbrushed with Modelmaster's new acrylics straight from the can. It dries in an instant and cleans up easily with plain water.

Bodywork is finished in HoK Pavo Purple with Zeor 2pak clear on top. All rubbed out and polished before decals and waxing.

Well, on to the pictures!

Re: Proosens Dodge Charger Daytona

Yupp, it's the Testors kit as I mentioned in the first post.
The only thing that didn't fit without trouble was the right rear light, the left one just sliped in place but the ohter one....
Had to sand it down a bit to get it to sit correct and flush with the body.

Otherwise a joy to build as everyting just fell together. This was the first time using Hok as it hasn't been available in Sweden before. Have some more bottles of Hok to try out but so far it was a joy to use, very easy to airbrush. The only thing that puzzled me was that it took some time for it to dry completely. It felt a bit tacky for two or three days but eventually it dried properly and got it's clear coat.

Thank's for posting

That's an excellent colour you went with, very striking. Good looking car for sure.
