YIKES! Doesn't sound good there, box! Better get a scan done, and see what DTC's are in the computer. Has maintenance been done? I don't know what kind of tranny they put behind a 4-holer. 4L60e?

In the meantime, maybe you just have an electrical problem... Unplug the battery for a while, and see if the shift mode resets to normal. Cross yer fingers (and yer little piggies too!) Big diff in $$$ for electricals vs. tranny mechanicals...

Re: Tranny help me PLEASE!!!

Sounds like the band is not engaging or holding (there is only one band in the 4L60E). There are several possible reasons for this, including valving (both electrical solenoids and hydraulically actuated spools), a stuck 2nd apply piston, restricted exhaust port at the pan gasket flange, a badly leaking accumulator, lost band anchor pin, or worn band.

A scan and a line pressure check are good aids for diagnosis.

YIKES!

Sounds like the jury's already back in with the verdict...

Does your tranny need butter?
