New generation Jetta

Do anyone know when the next generation Jetta comes out?

The mk5 Golf will be at Frankfurt Auto Show this September, but I don't think the Jetta/Bora will be introduced untill march/april 2004.
As far as I know, the Golf will go on sale in november/december, and the Jetta/Bora 6-7 months after that.

i await the new design. hope it doesnt look like a honda or a ford. i have heard horrible rumors... dont get me wrong i like the focus hatch and the new si is kinda neat (cept those ugly head lights) but vw better keep their look

Personally I'm looking forward to seeing if there is truth to the rumors about the GTi. Apparently, it won't just be a Golf trim level, but have a more agressive body design etc.

i sure as hell hope that it is true. just hope that it wont look like the new si and hope it will stay a hot hatch. maybe we can hope for a badass new raddo with the 3.2

I don’t know how much truth there is to this, (most likely none at all) but this guy at my job was telling that the new Jettas are going to be equipped with…solar panels on the sun roof…

hmm...thats cool, but what's the advantage? I don't see how adding solar panels will be an improvement.

It powered a fan that circulated air when that engine wasn't running.
