Night of Racing in a GTS

well my friends dad went out to a party and he drives a Celica GTS, a newer model one so we took it out to the hotspot and rode around lookin for races as i got used to the gearing *i know im gonna get flammed for takin out his dads car blah blah* so we were drivin along and theres a red GT mustang with atleast full exaust done so he gets over real quick and catches the light with me and we both go kinda slow and then he drops it and so do i and he pulled like 1 1/2 cars on me until i got into high rpm's in 3rd and i was just pullin on him pretty hard, we talked to him and he thought we had a turbo but all it has done is a muffler not even cat back.

2nd race was a new black cavalier dunno what it was but it had alittle kick to it, but i just pulled like 5-6 cars on him.

3rd race was this z28 that followed me after i raced the cavalier so we got side by side and he droped it and so did i then i started to pull pretty good until he sprayed i really think he sprayed cuz he flew past so quick and it sounded like a damn airplane goin over but it was him and at a light he said it was stock, i really dont think so

anyways a really fun night of racing

haha cool...

What year Z28?

If it was LT1 or LS1... I dont think a Z28 needs to Spray to pull on a GTS... Could be wrong... but from a rolling start those things arent exactly slow.

But if you got him... neato!

Yea...funny story about the gt-s...I was test drivin one a lil bit ago, it was a 03, never driven etc.etc... Anyway, I pull out onto the main street and I slam down the gas....Went red all the way up thru 3rd gear then I had to slow down. It was a fun ride, tho. The whole time my mom was in the passenger seat (since we were lookin at cars for her) freakin out grabbin on the o-shit handel tryin to figure out what I was doin...we went back to the dealer and the guy knew what I was doin because he heard me squank when I hit second..oops. I guess it was that and the "deer cought in the headlights" look on my moms face... Priceless.

I think the Z28 was just going half-throttle until he decided to punch it. At which point he flew past and sounded like an airplane. Because seriosuly, he'd have absolutely no problems pulling far far ahead very very quickly. Definitely wouldn't need to spray or anything

I have a similar story about test driving a celica with my mom. I couldnt test drive the car alone since i was like 16-17. Anyways it was a celica gt-4 i believe is what they were called. It was an early 90's all time 4 wheel drive turbo. I couldnt help but run through the gears on it, and my mom was screamin at me the whole time. Good times i tell ya. Wish they would come out with some kind of special edition celica like that now.

275 or 285, depending on the year. Either way though, they run high 13s or low 14s stock so I doubt that n2o would be necessary, that's all You should take a run next to my car...Headers, cam, and unmuffled exhaust make for a VERY loud vehicle

Good run though, by the way
