Sat. Night Racing!

First nice night in a while decided to take out the good ole rex and have some fun.

1st race was a 6th gen 96-00? civic coupe. It was silver had an apexi N1 exuast and black gsr blades for look's. It sounded like he had a motor swap so I decided to see if he wanted to run got next to him and just chilled there with him and sure enough he wanted to race. so I drop it in 2nd and so does he and then he goes and I follow but then slow down cuz the light turned yellow. His car was pretty damn fast so I armed the nitrous and waited for the light to turn. he was talkin to me he was like hey man you got a zc? I said fuck no!, he was like what then? I said it's an LS and he was like oh... so the light turned green and we took off about even in 1st, shifted to 2nd spun alittle bit and when the tire's caught I pulled about a fender on him then he pulled up even and we had to shut it down due to upcoming traffic. We hit another light but with car's infront of us and I ask him what he has and he was silent for a min and then he was like it's a type r I was like yea sounded like it. Im pretty sure he had bolt on's and maybe a few other thing's it was a bad car, pretty sleeper!

2nd race was a dark blue 5.9L R/T Dakota. He beat my friend with an LS in a hatch and we usually stay a bit even so I armed the nitrous just incase. I was like this truck can't be stock. so we raced from a 2nd gear roll, well for me and I swore I heard nitrous engage on his truck, but wasen't sure so were about even in 2nd then 3rd I start to pull him alittle bit and we shut it down. I talked to him at a light and he said it was stock...then he was like and I have a 150 shot of nitrous in the back. I turned to my friend I was like I told you he was sprayin! He was cool about it though and he went about his way.

3rd race was a crx. I was just driving about to go home and he pulled up and was like crx's are the way to go! and he was all hyper I was like yup... and he was just talkin and my boy was listening but I wasent paying attention, so we caught a light and I just went normal when it turned green but he kept riding the gear up higher and higher so I was like ill give him alittle. so I hit and he hit it I threw it in 2nd early and just pulled hard on him. he said he was stock before so I didnt expect anything but that. He drove past smiling and I just gave him a head nod. wasen't really a race but it kinda was?

I tried to race 2 other civic's that has swaps, one had a gsr swap and I dont know what the other had but it was something with vtec. Ohwell...

Comment's and Question's welcome..

Good Races! Doesn't it get your blood flowing when you keep up with a superior car? Must've been a rush when you found out ithat civic had a Type-R engine swap...

Do what are your future plans for the Hatchback?

Re: Sat. Night Racing!

Good kills. Sounds like that Type R motor is the way to go if you can afford it. I've thought about selling the Evo to get a Integra again (It certainly would reduce alot of debt ). If I bought an Integra i'd buy another GS-R again (I had one for a month and a half before some lady totalled it). Mayhaps if I see Redneck at the next meeting I might ask him to host an old pic of me with that former car. Oh well i'm going off topic. Good wins, and sounds like almost all your races were close.

Re: Sat. Night Racing!

I dont have a hatch anymore. I have a crx.

Future plan's are...drag radial's, a header, fuel pump, injector's, fpr, fuel rail maybe and up the shot to 75hp jet's, better motor mount's...turbo..dude the list never end's.

They were very close! it's almost better than just blowing someone away. In fact it might be better. sometimes just raping someone doesent even get the blood goin.

Re: Sat. Night Racing!

yea, good thing I was riding with my light friend that night. sometimes I ride with my big friend, huge guy. I can deff feel when he's in the car.

hes like 6'0" 300, 450 pound bench.

I do make some money when I race with people in the passenger seat!

Re: Sat. Night Racing!

It would run so so and it would probably start to smoke soon.

If I ever went ls/vtec it would be fully built. im not a fan of it if you just slap on the head.

right now nitrous does it's job very well for me and I like it.

nice races, off topic, why are you thinkin about getting rid of your EVO for a teg? my friend would never get rid of his car for any honda ( other then a nsx ) and he use to be a honda lover.

Re: Sat. Night Racing!

To get rid of debt. Plus the car went up in value around my area. I bought mine for $27K, and they are selling for $28-29K currently. It's just a thought.

Re: Sat. Night Racing!

Very nice races! I can't wait to race my GSR (got it yesterday). And 200ls1z28, for the price of your EVO you could have one badass GSR... I'm envisioning completely build bottom end with 9.0 c/r pistons, turbo, cams, stand-alone engine management, all the good stuff... and you'd still have a good 10 grand in the bank to pay bills with!

Re: Sat. Night Racing!

Ahh no, i'm not planning on buying a GS-R that is of the same value as the Evo. I want one that is cheaper, in order to get out of debt. Paying $431 a month isn't easy.
