Question Turbo M3

I've been searching the web for different M3's, and today i saw an AAturbo M3. It was a '95 or '96 and had about 350hp. After about 10 min. i found one that has 500+. But these were are E36's... i was wondering if the is a turbo conversion for an E46 M3. It already get's 333hp... so with the conversion i'm thinking about 600-650+... what do you guyz think? Is there an E46 w/ a turbo conversion at all?!?!

That much on stock internals in an e46. Get real. The e46 M3s have had many engines blow on just the stock internals do to the poor strength of the connecting rods. For god sakes, get a freaking Supra TT. 650 hp on the stock bottom , 1000+ tweaked

After F&theF i really don't want to get a supra... i've always wanted skyline (as it is the car i "have" in profile <--) but, after the whole F&theF thing... the supra to me seems degraded. Now i'm feelin' something quasi-exotic... like a turbo M3. note to all i'm not getttin an m3 or skyline or any other car.. hell i don't even have a license yet...i'm still dreaming.

You can't turbo an E46 M3 because of the high compression ratio. Fair enough, getting a turbo on it is a bit of work, but you can't run high boost - which sucks

That is some very wicked tuning, considering how BMW doen't get as much aftermarket parts backing as Supras and Skyline, that guy had to fabricate most parts. But anything those cars can do, a BMW can do it brilliantly, like the ads say.

Blitzen, isn't there a way to lower the compression? like putting in a thicker head gasket?

yeah, u are right about the s54 blown engines, but the internals are not as weak as u lead them on to be

the engines that have blown have either been the cause of a misshift, or the wrong type of lubrication (the e46 m3 requires a special OEM oil . . . $7/quart, forgot the wt)

anyway, FI kits are coming out for the e46 m3 as we speak, for now it is just superchargers, RMS is claiming 500 rwhp on their supercharger kit

these kits, however, are coming at ridiculous prices, had i the money for an e46 m3 i definitely would have tried to fabricate my own kit, and sell it for less than $15k these guys are asking (some up to $25k)

FI for the m3 is possible, in stock form the m3 is a superbly tuned NA machine, all one would have to do is strengthen internals and lower compression . . . then moderately add boost . . . of course this all comes at a price . . . damn bavarians and their expensive nature

Those videos that you have are a 98 M3 eurospec, built motor and a
ASA supercharger.

Now he's onto another built motor + a turbocharger on it:

It all depends on the size turbo, boost level and gearing you have. My
car is not a 0-60, but a 0-150 mph car. Most m3 turbos with the correct
size charger and boost, it can beat 500-600hp Supras from 0 to 160.

How do I know? I've raced a 500+ rwhp supras and beated them. But
when I get to 150-160 their headlights gets bigger and bigger every
mili seconds...

I have a ton of respect for the AA kit but theres no way in hell it will outrun a single turbo supra. Also too bad the kit is about $10k plus. Add the cost of the kit its really not that great of a performance buy....
