AC and Heat

I have a 2001 Pontiac Grand Prix the heat and A/C only works on the passenger side of the car. What could be causing this problem.

It would help to post whether this is a manual dual zone climate control or the single manual.

Are you still getting air at the vents from the blower on the driver's side?

There is definitely air coming out at all the varying speeds. just when the AC is on the cold air is only coming out of the passenger side. Also the AC is not very cold. That could be a lack of freon or a leak.

Yes but that doesn't explain the lack of heat. Possible the driver's side temperature actuator is not working properly.

I recently changed the blower motor resistor because the heat/AC would only work in the number 5 position. Non of the lower positions worked. That fixed that problem just fine. I have had more trouble with this car man let me tell you. Currently my wife drives it while I was out of town. During that time the check engine light had come on. Well when I got home it went away. Also the ABS and Trac Off Lights have been on for a couple of weeks now too. I recently changed one Wheel baring hub assembly because that's what the deal told me the problem was. I'm at wits end let me tell you.

I've got a heat problem as well.
When I've got it set to A/C air is coming out the vents about category 5 but when I switch to heat the velocity dyes right down to till.
However the blower is going at full speed.
