Question 2001 grand prix 3.8 n/s PCS solenoid

Someone told me that if i take off the drive side wheel and lower the frame i have acces to the solenoid once i take the cover off and loosen (the transmission from the pass side) he said it should take 45-60 minutes to do the job once the car is jacked up and the wheel is off does this sound rigth. I dont have a hard shift(?) but it seems to just shift a little late.

Also is ther ANYONE who could tell me at what speed and rpms my car shuold be going into diff gears at. how am i supposed to know if my transs is bad if i dont know hwat to compare it with? kinda like a chart this would help i still dont trust the transs shop

45-60 minutes doesnt sound right.

I would have the trans scanned before you go tear into it to replace a PCM.

Late shifts could be cause be any number of things, not necessarily a bad pcs. Have you ohm checked the TPS sensor yet?
