Studebaker rip off?

I heard GM was sueing Studebaker for making a Hummer-type vehicle which was a rip-off.

But what the hell is this?? Is this another car they make? The interior not to mention the engine is exactly from the Firebird.

Its this that makes me wonder if it's a bodykit for a Trans Am or Studebaker is really trying to rip off every GM design.

Well... just because they use the Driveline and some interior components doesnt mean they're ripping off GM.

Its like buying a Crate Motor/Tranny with some restoration interior parts... Hard to say though, it might be based off a Firebird chassis...

I never liked the original Avanti... I dont like the remake... YUCK!

Not really because you're not trying to make profit off it. And even if you were to sell the car you're selling it as the car it is, not as another type of car.

It's a different case if someone just put a fake Studebaker body on a Firebird, rather than a company trying to make a car based off another companies parts. Don't you think Ford would get sued if they all of a sudden put LS1 V8s in their cars and advertised it?

It's pretty disgusting at that, painting half the interior red and fake wood paneling.
