Blinker arm

My blinker arm is snapped in half. Has been for a really long time. I've been meaning to replace it but when i found out that it would be around $100 at a junk yard i had second thoughts! I think its just because of the electrical components inside (cruise control probably). The thing is that it all works so i really wish i didn't have to spend that much. I'll just have to deal with my redneck tape repair for now...

Re: Blinker arm

I can't believe it's $100 for just the arm. Are you sure they didn't mean the switch? Those are pricey, even for the junky aftermarket ones.

it was $89.99 for the blinker arm on my 86 S10... cruise control makes a world of difference when it comes to price too

Re: Blinker arm

I don;t even use cruise control anyway. I'd be scared to use it even if i did because it hasn't been used ONCE in the cars whole 25 years of existance! I'll have to go somewhere un-inhabited to try it out.

Re: Blinker arm

I've tried the brand-x ones with mixed results. The last one I got was in the "not exactly" realm and I wound up without the wiper delay in the finished product. If you plan on keeping the car, opt for something better, Motor Mite has a good one. I got my last one from Rock Auto and while the price was very good, the performance wasn't.

I agree, only if it is a known brand like Niehoff, Standard Products. I can't stress how inferior the no-name reboxed products can be.
