Epoxy remover?
What can be used to clean up or remove uncured 2k 5-minute epoxy glue? Short of a hammer and sharp chisel, is there anything that will remove cured epoxy?
I'd like to find something that doesn't harm styrene plastic, of course. ddms |

Re: Epoxy remover?
For cured epoxy a good long soak in brake fluid or SuperClean might remove the epoxy. A sonic cleaner may also work but that is an expensive option.
For uncured epoxy Goo-Gone might work. It is an orange-based adhesive remover that works well on sticky stuff. Also try placing the part in a freezer. Perhaps under cold temperature the uncured epoxy may harden enough to make removal easier. |

Re: Epoxy remover?
Thanks for the reply, Cfarias. Actually, I'd like to find something that I can swab on to an area of a half-finished model where I accidentally applied some Devcon 5-Minute epoxy. So soaking really isn't an option.
Sorry - I should have been more specific. ddms |

Re: Epoxy remover?
IPA (isoprophyl alcohol) is good and does not affect plastic. It needs patience and some time but you may try to remove it with cotton swab soaken in IPA
