AMT 1969 Firebird

Hey. I built this for a co-worker. He gave me a picture of a Firebird and asked if I could build a model of it. I guess I suceeded. Testors Honduras Maroon lacquer for the body, Tamiya semi-gloss black & matt black for everything else. Not much to it but it was fun; what a concept . Thanks and take care!

Re: AMT 1969 Firebird

I've used Model Master Honduras Maroon on a few cars and it is a very beautiful color, unfortunatly it does'nt photograph well. I bet your Firebird is a knock-out in person.

Is that the old MPC metal axle firebird? You really made it look great, man!

Nice, I like the colour! As you know I am also building one of these. I see you also had issues with the fit of the hood. (lots of major twisting of the bodyshell to resolve was my experience!) You have given me some inspiration to complete my one now!

Re: AMT 1969 Firebird

Very striking colour. You could shave in that shine. Great job.
