Italeri 1/9 Motogp Bike kit

Hi..

i surf the net and come across this quiet interesting Italeri MotoGP bike kits..

http://www.hobbyeasy.com/en_US/prod/32546.html

http://www.hobbyeasy.com/en_US/prod/32547.html

since no explanation and no detail info. on the kits.. i have no idea how this kits should be.. anybody ever built Italeri 1/9 bike kit?

i'm used to Tamiya 1/12 bike.. what can i expect from Italeri kits? in term of plastic quality, fitment, etc.. any issues?

really appreciate your feedbacks

regards,

ben

Re: Italeri 1/9 Motogp Bike kit

I have built RC211V from 2002 and Desmosedici 2003, I can say that they are good kits, not perfect but good.
You have a lot of room to improve them, in general they are more or less accurate but they lack in details.
Chain is really bad concerning the scale, engine details are poor as are discs and calipers.
New kits are even worse, even less detail but in proportion terms they do look more or less OK.
Plastic is very good, decals are perfect, tires OK.
Not Tamiya in terms of details but not bad at all. Only really bad one was M1, they missed the shape of front part and it look silly in general.
Here is the link to my builds, built almost OOB.

Thanks, I can say my skills were not so high back then but they do look nice on shelve.
Here is one photo where you can see the size difference compared to 1/12 Tamiya bike.
