I just replace my blower resistor because I noticed that my air has been going in and out. It will blow maybe on the highest speed for 5 minutes and cut off. Now, with the resistor it's blowing on all levels again but then I hear a loud noise then nothing. I checked the fuses they all look fine. I know it been other threads on this but Ican't find the oner pertaining to my exact issue. Is it possible that the motor itself is going out, since I hear a howling noise? Thanks in advance for any feedback.

Re: 99 Alero Blower Problem
Blower motor is possible especially if you hear noises related to it. Remove the blower motor and bench test it by applying a ground and 12 volts to the connector.
And welcome to AF.

Re: 99 Alero Blower Problem
Well I installed the new motor and the blower is working great. Now I hear some weird loud noise when I accelerate. But now I have air that worked better than ever. I'm so sick of investing money in this car and I'm buying a new car next month.
