Yeah, I have to say that I have you covered for this one. You know how fanatical my love for the 2001 Gti VR6 is and if you don't...I'm telling you.
1st gear- 39mph 2nd gear-68mph 3rd gear-96mph 4th gear-135mph (130 if restricted) 5th gear-140mph (130 if restricted) 0-60=6.8 seconds 0-100=18.3 seconds quarter mile=15.2 seconds @93.4mph and...in case your wondering. 2300rpm in top gear @ 60 mph. Always glad to help out!!!!! You will see similar numbers in the March 1999 issue of road and track, but I got mine from another source.

darn! honestly, i have absolutley no idea becasue they haven't done a test on one yet, but i estimate its 0-60 time to be anywhere from 6.3 to 6.7. The 180hp 1.8T has a 0-60 time of 6.5 (some magazines have only been able 2 acheive 7.2) and the 174 hp vr6 has a 0-60 time of 6.8, so i reason that a car with 20 more horespower than the 1.8T and the same engine as my gti should be able to go around 6.3. Quarter mile times should be about 14.7 to 15.0 because my car does it in 15.3 and some 1.8t's have done it in 15.1.

174bhp, or ~156whp.
I think Eurotuner gained around 10whp, and dynoed 165hp and 176lb.ft. at the wheels. |
