Is this true?

ok im reading up on the net about my ultra rare automatic b16 and saw somewhere that there is a second ecu that controls the tranny? is this right? cuz i only have the PR3 that came with the motor.

now they were installing there auto b16 into a first gen crx(84-87) whereas i have a 91, can anyone shed some light on this?

plus i was wondering if anyone knows if the DX-VTEC wire conversion harness from Hasport is a good investment or if it would even work on my autobox.

thanks team.

nah i had to get the auto box from the XSi since my moms said she would sometimes have to drive my car, and she cant drive stick, so i had no choice since she was paying for half the swap anyway.

plus i didnt wanna go through the hassle of converting it over, ok so i dont need the tranny ecu, but do y'all know if that harness will work for the auto?

I don't see why not seeing as how there is no wiring on a tranny.. The wiring is for VTEC and MPFI.

I had a DOHC ZC with an auto tranny too.. If I bash on it, its because of experince.. An Si with slight mods would give me a good run for my money, so thats when I was like "fuck automatics" and I put a 5 speed B16 in. And now that I know and love standard, I say "fuck automatics".

But I'm the only one who drives my car and pays for my swaps, so I was pretty much free to do whatever I wanted to my car.

hey man, finally someone else who has a automatic crx who's looking to make it fast. I'm just wondering if you could email me so we can talk about our rex's. I'm interested in what you've found out about our cars. hope to hear from you man. I am thinking about finding a 1.8 for my car...i heard all i'll need is diff. axles and wiring. is that not true?
