Which one???

I am looking at adding a 70-71 Hemi Cuda to my stash. Which one has the most accurate body? Are the Older Monogram kits the same as the Newer Revell kits. I have not seen a Jo-Han kit yet yet.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

RW

Re: Which one???

If you can find the Jo-Han kit, that's the one to go with. It is a bit lacking in chassis and interior details, but the body (mainly the roof) is correct. If you plan to build it, not collect it, get a combination of kits to build it correctly. Lots and lots of these have been built, so research them, and find your preferred method of getting it all sorted out.

Re: Which one???

I picked up a JoHan kit. The pro street version. I also picked up a Revell 71 "Cuda". I will use the chassis and interior parts off of the Revell kit for the JoHan kit.

Re: Which one???

Scratch the Revell donor kit idea.....

I picked up an AMT Challenger convertible kit that I am going to use to upgrade the Johan kit. I have already removed the front cowl, and front fender wells from the AMT kit, and I have tacked them onto the Johan body. I have test fit the AMT chassis to the Johan body, and I can tell that I am going to have to cut about 1.5-2mm out of the chassis so that the front and rear wheels will be centered on the body. I am also going to remove approx. 1.5mm from the front of the front wheel wells so that I can put in a front core support.
