rust removal

I have a bad build up of rust i think came from worn out brake pads. This build up is all over painted aluminum rims can anyone suggest a way to remove it with minimum damage to surface

wd40 on brake pad? won't that make your pads a little slippery?

go buy a wire brush attachment for your drill, and brush the rust away
