Opinions/Questions needed on '99-'00 323i
Hey folks! First time poster to the board and as the name implies, I've found the virtues of BMW.
I could use some input for the following cars. Pro's, cons, specific things to look for, stay away from, expected costs based on mileage and living in the CA Bay Area: '99, 323i, premium pkg, leather, dual power seats, split rear seat, H-K stereo, moonroof, manual, ~45k miles '00, 323i, premium pkg, leather, dual power seats, split rear seat, H-K stereo, moonroof, step-tronic, ~ 35k miles FWIW, I found a '99 with all the above, 52590 miles, 3 prior owners, CPO and about 18 months of extended warranty. Dealer was asking $23,988. My starting offer was $21,00. Went to $22k, but dealer wouldn't budge below $22,898. Was I in left field? Just seemed like with some patience, I could find a much better price. /rant on/ BTW, stay away from a certain dealer on St**** Cr*** Blvd. Talk about a bunch of arrogant SOB's! Salesdrone said I couldn't test drive unless I was willing to buy that day. Well, HELLO!?! Gotta drive it before I can make a decision. Sheesh. Some people.. /rant off/ |

Just thought I'd ask a couple more questions.
Thinking about using a broker to get the car from the BMW Financial auction. Most are lease returns with 30k miles or less. Anybody go this route? Thoughts? Opinions? Secondly, if I make the purchase this way doesn't the warranty go with the car? Thanks!
