Hell, and eternal damnation is one helluva party.

You know, I love the history of religion, and the idea of Hell got me thinking.

I bet it's one big party, with kegs, and beer, and pie, and Heavy Metal, and I bet Satan is a really nice guy.

Think about it.

You sin against "God" and denounce "Jesus" and what-ever, and you do all these bad things like steal, murder, rape etc, and you are sent to hell.

Why would Satan PUNISH you for doing the same thing he's tryin to do?

He HATES God! He's at total war with the guy, and if you're good you are sent to heaven, right? Or so the stories say? Well, if you go to hell you have obviously done something bad, I think that if you do something bad, and Hell does exist (pushing aside common sense and security with known physics), Satan will greet you with some beer can say "man, you are so cool, helping me out and shit, here! Here's a Heineken!"

Hell is one cool place, with pool tables, and spa's, and sauna's and bars that you don't get kicked out of!

Oh, and all the hot bitches you can ever want.

Whereas in Heaven, you can't swear, have bad thoughts, have sex, you can't do SHIT with out pissing of God and Jesus!

Good thing I denounced religion, therefore I have sinned, and cast my self into eternal party mode!

Oh, you also don't get tired in hell as well and don't have to sleep, but you can, which is awesome.

If God existed, you would go to Heaven when you're evil, so he can punish you him self. Not put you with the party king. Throwing all the evil guys in hell, where Satan can recruit his "army of undead" as the myth goes (but people honestly believe this is legitimate shit here), why would God GIVE Lucifer men for his army? That's like the Allies GIVING Hitler men for his Nazi Campaign...against the Allies?

Well. What ever your views are, I still stand by the evidence that Hell is awesome.

Re: Hell, and eternam damnation is one helluva party.

you got it wrong.

Satan works for God.
That's why you get punished.
That's why that despite God being all powerful, he lets him exist AND have his own kingdom to rule over.

He's just doing his job and not getting any credit for it I might add. In fact, he gets lots of bad press because of it.
I think we should have a "Thank You Satan" day.

I think the premise that the "good" go to heaven is flawed. I think the price of entry is believing Jesus died to save your soul - but I'm sure some of the Christian board members will jump on this bandwagon. Other than that,

/walks quietly out of thread.

PS -Davo, if you have such strong thoughts about organised religion now, I highly recommend never trying LSD if you get the chance - if will almost certainly get very messy for you very quickly.

Then where does the phrase "tired as hell" come from?

Re: Hell, and eternam damnation is one helluva party.

You mean "Tired IN hell"? I am sure I said

Oz, a friend of mine took LSD about two months back, I wasn't interested but I did get into a 1 hour conversation about the universe and black holes and shit, then when he was "coming down" he clutched to the arm chair for about 5 hours, refused to move, he thought he was literally "coming down" like, falling and holding on to the chair was going to save him.

lol?

Re: Hell, and eternam damnation is one helluva party.

Just to answer your question on "Why would Satan punish you for doing his work?"....................well Satan is not referred to as the king of lies for no reason. He doesn't have your best interest in mind I can assure you that. But you are entitled to your opinion. However if I am wrong I will go through this life as a Christian, loving my neighbors, good person, loving God, etc. and then die. I see no harm in that. Now if you are wrong, and this heaven/hell/God/satan spiel is correct according to the Bilble then I would say the consequences are indescribable and I urge you to reconsider your position.

60 years of "pleasing the flesh" in this life if you will can't be worth an eternity in hell as the Bible describes it. So pick your truth if you will. Only one truth is win-win no matter what the truth (Be a Christian and go to heaven).

Re: Hell, and eternam damnation is one helluva party.

First things (and most importantly) first, you are incorrect on what hell is going to be like. The Bible states that hell is a place of damnation per your subject line. You are not going to see anyone at all in hell. It is eternal seperation from God and man.

Kudos to Johnson response. Excellent point. I am a believe in Jesus Christ. I choose to live for him knowing that his sacrifice will save me from my sin. BUT, where do you stand? As Johnson said, you can go through your life and your assumption will be either correct (which it's not...but you are delusional about at this time) and not.

What if your're wrong ?!

Remember you're the one who pointed out the phrase "eternal damnation" on your subject line...to risky to be unsure about.

Lifes aim is to achieve ultimate enlightenment and reach paradise.

It isn't as simple as believing in something to get into heaven.
It requires more work than that.

It requires more work than that? Really?

The Bible doesn't say that as shown below from Ephesians 2:8-9 (notice the underlined portion):
8 For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, 9 not of works, lest anyone should boast.

If salvation (or going to heaven) were based on works than what is the benchmark to achieve that? Well, it's been established...a PERFECT life, just as Jesus lived. Since we are all sinners we are going to hell.]

Like a credit card? Pay it later? I'm afraid you are going to be very surprised with the interest rate & terms

Re: Hell, and eternam damnation is one helluva party.

So do you believe that all the great jewish leaders in the old testament (noah, david, solomon, moses, etc) are going to hell? Yes Jesus hadn't been born yet but if thats the one qualification then I guess someone should have sent them a memo.

Gandhi just has no excuse, he knew all about Jesus...
