1995 Toyota Soarer

Hey all. I haven't built a model for over a year. So I decided to start again.

I bought this the other day and I can't wait to start on it.
Keep in touch!

Re: 1995 Toyota Soarer

Yes, sorry for not being informative. The kit is from Aoshima. It's a "Display Model" or that's what it's written on the box. Everything is stock in the kit, even the wheels. I've sort of started on it. I've started by deciding which rims to put on.

Help me decide guys.

Volks CE28N

Volks TE37 Time Attacks

Blitz Rims

Stock.

Which one looks better on this car?

Re: 1995 Toyota Soarer

I would say either the TE37's or the Blitz's...
Better lighten pics would help though.
What color are you planning for the car/rims?

Re: 1995 Toyota Soarer

^ I'm still debating whether to paint it black or dark red.

The wheels will probably be left untouched depending what color I choose for the car.

The Volks TE37s will probably be kept the same color.

Re: 1995 Toyota Soarer

I would definitely choose the TE37 Time Attacks. Nice RX-7 in the background too

Re: 1995 Toyota Soarer

I like the CE28's but paint them with some bright gloss aluminum, like alcad, or similar, then detail the lugs and centers with some "anodized" blue or red.

Dark red/beige interior with stock wheels makes the car look luxurious. =)

Re: 1995 Toyota Soarer

Hey guys. An update. Got the undercarriage done with some minor detailing. Now onto the painting of the body.

Re: 1995 Toyota Soarer

Front undertray should be black.

Fujimi made this kit too, and recently re-released it, but it's the Lexus SC400 version.

^ Thanks, I've wanted that part of the undertray to be aluminum btw.

Re: 1995 Toyota Soarer

When I first laid eyes on the Soarer, I wasn't impressed, but the more and more I look at it, and see it every blue moon going down the road for real, I like it more and more. I look forward to seeing what you do with this.

Personally, I think the TE37's look better as their size seem to fit the body more. Those CE28N's look fantastic but the front bumper's crying for a bodykit if you use them .

Re: 1995 Toyota Soarer

I got it primed and painted today. Put on two coats of the blue, and now I'm waiting for it to dry completely so that I can apply a clear coating tomorrow. I'm actually quite happy how it turned out. Much, much better than my previous models.

Sorry for a quick picture taking, but what do you guys think of the color?
