W.I.P Monogram 1971 Plymouth Hemi Barracuda

Had this on the go for quite a while now with not much to show for it.
Lately, the weather's been good so I had a chance to work on the body.

Not much done here except I fitted the front and rear sections, puttied any gaps and reinforced the bodt from behind using the good old sprue+glue mix.

In hindsight, this might have been a good idea as a quick check has shown that the chassis is going to take a little effort to squeeze into the body now but I'll deal with that when I get there.

Made a start with the BMF and I've never been that tidy with it.

For those that are interested, paint is Tamiya Candy Lime Green, over Tamiya Gold. Clear is Halfords Automotive.

The paint looks great. I built one of these long ago and then turned it into a wreck diorama, realizing that my skills at the time hadn't done it much justice. I'll have to pick another up as these cars are pretty cool.

Nice start.

nice job...may i suggest that you take a tech pen and do the door lines to show detail and any other body seams....i built 4 of these in the past...turned on into a 1970 AAR CUDA..with the conversion kit that avail......plus loaded the hell out of it with detail....was on the cover of CAR MODELER July 1994
