15.8 1/4 mile tonight d16a6

well, i am kinda dissapointed, my new d16a6 could only pull a 15.8 at the quarter, I raced my friend who has a newer GSR, and we were nose to nose every run! My 60ft times were pretty crappy, they were like 2.7, but my reaction times were good. Does 15.8 sound like an ok time for an a6 with integra pistons conversion and cam/ port polish? I was hoping low low 15s with my set-up but maybe something's gone poo poo with my motor?

well my friend with a 5th gen cx hatch with a sohc vtec w/ cam, he ran a 15.8 at the track. so thats pretty good for a a6, idk how much the integra pistons up the comp ratio. but i think thats good. its in teh 15s at least

Didnt slammed89civic run a high 14 with his old a6?

Anyways, that seems a little slow, and you should probably be running low 15's with that setup.

Oh well, turbo it

I dunno .. this is the same guy who was able to get a 17.1 out of a messed up DX engine with 220,000 miles on it ... so I think he can drive.

Well maybe theres nothing wrong with your engine. Do you have upgraded clutch? Do you have shitty tires or good tires? Suspension also helps man. Or like marked001 said keep practicing!

my brother's friends took a DX CRX and totally stripped it bare of everything but a drivers seat and dash and it ran a 15.6.

wen my brother bought it the time was still marked on the window.

weight reduction = god.

btw, the engine was stock.
