couple questions....

Alright, i'm going to the wreckers AGAIN this Saturday to find a cluster, they have 4 hondas there that r 88-89's and they said 2 come look, the last wreckers i was at said the LX cluster wont work in My Hatchie, he said the connectors are wrong or something, someone please clarify this! cuz if it'll work then I'll b pissed, also, I saw one at another wreckers with a tach, not an LX, this was the Civic Wagon but i didnt know what year it was because they didnt write it on the side like the rest of there cars, where can I check the year of the car and will it work in mine if its the right year? it looked like a fourth gen kinda but the tail lights looked weird so i didnt know, they look taller kinda and not as long.

now, question 2! i wanna mould my rear bumper in so it looks better with my shaved hatch. i'm just gonna fiberglass it and contour it, but i was thinking, if I get into an accident or something and need 2 replace the bumper or bumper support, what do i do? just take a hacksaw and cut thru the fiberglass and then take the bumper and filler piece out? or would it just not be possible?
sorry for the long post, question 1 is most important tho lol, but any help would be great, thanx guys.

the lx cluster will work. I have a 89 lx cluster in my 88 dx hatch. The plugs are exactly the same

as for checking the year, some cars have them under the hood either up top or down by the headlights, or some have the year in the door

Nope sorry cant help ya there, i think if the junkyard had the part they would do anything to sell it if it would work but im not an importer i just know general things about cars and i know more about domestics because thats what i work on most but yea you should get the year from one of those two things and if you dont someone could of took them off or it could of been rusted right off of the hood depneding on where you live but if neither of those are there then ask and if they dont know you should be able to get the year from the VIN
