Junked my '84 Wagon Yesterday
It was time, but hard to let it go. I was going to sell it privately, but the car had so many issues I couldn't sell it to someone with a clear consience. Plus the gas mileage was horrific.
I found a local scrap yard that was paying $11 per 100 lbs. I drove it into the yard, took the plates and stickers off, put it on the scale and walked away with a cool $455 in my pocket. I did leave a full beer under the seat with a note on it, "please do not drink, the beer is intended to go with the car to the next life". Anyone need a set of '84-'85 wheel covers or the wire caps, PM me. Bob |

I'm sorry to hear that. I know what it's like to lose a car you're grown close too. I like the beer idea. I had my granfathers Caprice that I had to parts because cancer (rust) killed it. Many of it's parts though live on in both my cream colored Caprice and my truck.

Wow, you just drove to the yard and left it like that? In my area you have to remove the gas tank and antifreeze among other things before they will accept the vehicle.
