2000 Montana - Best Tires?

I'm thinking of getting the Michelin X Radials for my van, does anybody have any other favorite tires that I should consider?

You can check on www.tirerack.com and see what tires they carry for your van. You then can see customer's remarks and opinions on those tires and use that as part of a basis for making an informed decision.

Check for tread life, traction and ride comfort. Hate riding in a log wagon that wants to slide all over the road.

Yeah that is what I am looking for, people's experience with those things. I have read most of the reviews on Tirerack but they are for all different types of vehicles. I'd like to heard from people who specifically put certain tires on Pontiac Montana's. Not people who put those tires on Ford's......

2002 came with kelly's. Had problems with uneven tire wear. Tried Goodyears and they seemed to wear too quick. Currently have Goodrich. Seem to have good ride and good traction. Went through the winter well. Have 181,000 on van.

I had B. F. Goodrich also on my 2 Ventures and had good luck with them. They handled well and they wore pretty evenly. For winter tires, if you need them I highly recommend Winterforce . I had excellent results with them and no problem getting through our winters , which can approach 200" a season.

Our '99 cam from the factory with Uniroyals. The dealership here gave me a smokin' deal on Uniroyal AWP's.

They seem decent. Been through one winter and traction is good as is the ride.

FWIW.
