If I change my front brakes on a Civic EG would I have to change the rear ones? Also are there any good recomendations for brakes?

No, you dont have to but it is reccomended you change all of the brake pads at the same time due to the fact that most times if the fronts are worn then the backs are as well or are close to being worn.

No, you can do front or back in pairs.

The front breaks are where are the stopping power comes from and also it is where most of the wear is.

Yes it is nice to do all at once for the best results, smooth easy breaking all around, however if you have meat on your rear pads or shoes there is no point of pulling them off if you are on a budget
