Talking EGR Valve Location

My husband is going to be cleaning the EGR valve on our 2000 Olds Sillhouette, but we don't know where it is and can't seem to find a diagram of it. Is there a web site that has a diagram of it? Thanks

Re: EGR Valve Location

It is on the driver's side of the engine towards the back and on top. Here is a picture of what it looks like for reference:http://info.rockauto.com/Airtex/Detail.html?4F1051.jpg

Re: EGR Valve Location

Please keep posted if you able to access the EGR and have it clean. I am unable to access my 2k Olds EGR as bolts are facing towards the firewall.
I have a Check Engine Code 1404 but than I heard this could be a faulty code that requires an ECU flash.
