WIP Corvette C6-R LeMans Winner

Seems like everyone is building one of these now. I think it's a great kit and a great subject. I tried to address some of the issues with this kit. Each time I build it, I find a few more things that need tweaking. By the time I get to the bad boy vette, it will be perfect!

Stripped the chrome wheels and detail painted the interior a little. Seat is also flocked, but it's hard to tell.







Opened up the front grill and cut an opening for the tow hook. I'll use some spare mesh from a Tamiya DTM kit.



Cut the tow hook in the back and opened up for mesh back here.



I filled in the kit struts and will scratch my own (they were different from the presentation car).



Color is Krylon sunbeam yellow with Krylon clear. Body needs polishing, but the hood and doors are done. I put an extra strip of plastic around the doors and hood to close the gaps down a bit, but now it's so tight, I can't get the hood on. Will have to address that next...

Damn, that interior is soo clean it makes me want to take a hammer to mine...
Did the Firefighters decals come with the kit? I dont remember that...very nice! I still need to do all the vettes...once I have money though.

The Dennis Leary logo is only for the LeMans version. You're building the ALMS version, right?

This is a fun kit to build. I've got at least two more liveries to build...
