12 second Acura?

A friend of mine has decided to buy a RSX type S and he wants to make a reliable street racer. He wants to turbo th car but he doesn't know what to do to make the car run these kind of ET's. Price is basically unlimited because he's a rich boy so any and all ideas are welcome.

If you want a 12 sec. Acura and have a $30,000 budget buy a used NSX w/ a Comptech supercharger.

why is everyone so caught up in drag racing and 1/4 times?! My only response to this is he shouldve bought a z28 and got to work if he wanted 12s, the beauty of the rsx is in its handling

Because we live in America? That's a pretty blatantly obvious answer to why everyone is so concerned with drag racing. Drag racing is a more popular addiction then in other countries.

Exactly what Devil said. Oh, and also, where can you road race?? Sure there are places but they are waaaay less plentiful than drag tracks. But I agree with you...He should have bought a Z28 and got to work

yea, good freakin luck. it's hard getting true performance parts for the RSXs because they're so new. I agree, tell him to go buy a Camaro or an NSX or, since he's a rich boy, go with an underseen look and grab a Skyline GTR

Yeah, NSX is a good way to go.

If he wants an RSX though, it's pretty simple, a turbo conversion, professionally rebuilt transmission, full suspension setup.

Just pick the turbo kit, and have a shop install it.

To propel a car to a 1/4 mile et of 12 seconds requires more than just a car with big power and traction.

True, a 12 second car takes a 12 second driver.

Tell him to get a Scoobaru instead, AWD is really that big of an advantage. Not to mention a bigger engine.
