my testing and tuning for this weekends battle of the imports happend

we'll for the first time i finally took my 4 door to the track. this week was testing and tunning for this weekends battle of the imports. so basicly you practice and test your car for this weekend. well things went pretty good, then not to good. first off we towed my car there(bakersfield is a good hour and a half drive) so i didnt want to drive it there. we did all the little things like register and all that nice stuff. but anyway i got on the track and my first run i ran a 13.65 dont remember the mph my mechanic has the sheet. i launched at 5,000rpms on MW slicks. i was pretty happy about the time, so second time around i launched at 5,700rpms and fuck, there went my axels i knew it i shouldn't have done it. my new ones wont be in till monday, and we dont have anything we can use for this weekend so my battle of the imports are pretty much over. i will be a spectator..... oh well i finally got a chance to take my car out to the track and test it, im pretty happy with the time. heres my mods for those of you wondering.

91 civic 4 door:
-full interior
-crvtec
-4-2-1 dc headers
-apexi vtec controller
-chipped ecu(fuel and air)
-dual springs
-clutch specialties -6 puck clutch system, resurfaced flywheel
-b-16 tranny S-1 non lsd
-R-1 exhaust system
-Mw slicks 205/50/15

thats pretty much it for now. i ran a 13.65 with this. i can't remember the mph off the top of my head right now, but i can get it tommorrow, if anyone is curious.

Hopefully you are going to invest in some aftermarket axles because the stock b series axles are going keep breaking with the slicks and high rpm launches. What size slick were you running anyway?

yeah pretty much people were trippin out on my car.


it was the right side that broke. and i was runinng 205/50/15, pretty big slicks. good traction though.

i know i thought very hard about that. but my car is just sitting in my garage right now. so i dont know how i would get there. please take plenty of pics of the gang so those of us that can't be there can see

im wondering if a 50 shot of nitrous would break me into the 12's anyone know if it would.

Plenty of pics will be taken, but as I understand it a bunch of people from fresno are coming ... you could roll with Dumpedhatch or cjz89civic
