Re: Cammed Grand prix gt

i would start with the easier things such as CAI. I'm not real familiar w/ the newer models since i am more familiar w/ the 97-03 models. not real sure if the 04 has the Ubend in the exhaust, but that is another thing that would give you apx. 5HP if you removed it.

Re: Cammed Grand prix gt

here is a link for you, this is where i bought my Ubend delete. you can also check out the rest of the site, they have some pretty good deals.

as you can see, this Ubend delete has a hole in the side pre drilled so you can keep your OE O2 sensor.

Re: Cammed Grand prix gt

All 04+ cars don't have a ubend.

One thing I would suggest is a top swap. Basically, it's swapping the heads, intake manifold, supercharger, PCM, and a few other things on to your car off of a GTP.

Re: Cammed Grand prix gt

here man, check this out....

http://www.zzperformance.com/grand_p...=214&catid=113

read the testimonials, might be worth a shot. Although I'm not sure if it would work with a series 3 3800.

Also might want to look into some 1.9 ratio rockers

What makes you think you will not need premium gas (91 octane or better)? To fully take advantage of the mods on just about any you could do you will need a reprogrammed PCM module - DHP, Intense, ZZP or Powertuner. On the issue of roller rockers I recommend the 1.8 ratio. You do not need upgraded valve springs or a hot cam and it is a good bang for the buck considering it is a bolt on aftermarket product that can be done in just a few hours time.

Turbo? $$$$ Big bucks for what it is worth.

Re: Cammed Grand prix gt

I put slp header with the 3 inch down pipe, and took the cat off, 2.5 all the way back to the flowmaster 40 series and all I can say is wow, this thing climbs hard after 4,000. next is a cam from zzp

Re: Cammed Grand prix gt

the header I got was off 3800 perfomrance website and it ran about 850 with all the 02 extensions and obd11 plug for the rear, it took me a bout 3 hours to put it in, you gotta take off the whole throttle body unit to squeeze the headers in the back-unlesss you want to drop the cradle a couple of inches. The headers were the best mod I've done yet and it sounds killer. I would use zzp's gt2 cam and you can keep all your stock pushrods and lifters.

Re: Cammed Grand prix gt

Oh yeah and pacesetter makes the same header know it looks like it might be a bit better than the slp, if you get it from zzp- They fixed a cuple of flaws that they had.
