Dodge Neon SRT is faster then both an u could afford it. if i had to choose between those two, i'd pick the VR6. if u want a used car, look at the Integra Type R maybe the 98-99 Audi A4's...u've got a few options really. jus all comes down to personal pref, pick up the car u want...its all u.

i'd go rsx-s anyday. the neon srt only has 217 or so horsepower to the flywheel, which isn't much, plus it's a dodge. you can get that much out of a rsx with an air intake and an exhaust, then u can do more. the vr-6 is not as good as the 1.8t, in my opinion. there is no room in the engine to do much with. i have an rsx-s and have NEVER lost any races to any vw, all i have is an injen air intake right now. besides, it's a classy car, the vw is an "alternative persons" car, the neon is a..neon. you should go w/the rsx-s or the subaru wrx. you won't regret it. i own a dealership and have driven all the above cars (besides the neon). In the end it comes down to personal preference i guess. then again, you can make a ford pinto faster then a lamborghini if u put enough money into it huh?? i'm sure there are many vw's and neons that can blow me away....but um, then i have my '69 stang..

good luck friend.

The Neon has 225 HP at the wheels, and even thats old news. But I'd get the RSX and make it Type R JDM style.

JDM style=played out...j/k, that'd be a good way to go, let us kno wut u decide, but guys...the Type S isn't going to have 220Hp TO THE WHEELS from an intake an exhaust. more like 185-190.

I dont htink a neon will be an option for me... its an american shitbox. and personaly with my experience. the worst sports cars are the american cars except for the v8 trans or camaro. and well I ain the type of guy that knows alot with the modification crap. all I would do is change the pipes"exhaust" and intake and thats it for the engine for me. but I might change the look sof the car a bit too.
and as I continue to ask... rsx doesnt give ya the 200hp. even their owners tell me they have been burnt out from vr6 in a quarter mile.
the wrx is a nice car. but I think there is a big difference in price which I don think I can afford.

thanx for the help guys.... but I went for the VR6, even though the 1.8t got more space for mods.. I dont htink I will be doing alot of stuff on it.

and now after a couple of races, I don think the I will loose against an rsx.
