Serpentine Belt

Hey guys, i was just wondering around how many miles should u change the serpentine belt. Thanks in advance. I have a 02 Gt with 50,000 miles on it.

I don think there is any set mileage interval to replace the accessory drive belt. Wear will vary but GM used to recommend the first inspection at around 60K miles. A common problem possibly around that mileage will be cracking evident on the inner ribs at which time the belt should be replaced. Also, look for any shredding, tattering or abnormal wear. IMO the best replacement serpentine drive belt to use is the GoodYear Gatorback.
