ground effects
Ok, so I'm trying to find ground effects for my 91 corolla. Indeed its very hard to find such parts for this car. Is there anywhere I can go to find the specs for the bumpers for this car? I thought if maybe I compared the specs for the bumpers on it to maybe that of the honda accord or nissan sentra, since the bodies are very close to the same shape and all have the same size engine and stuff. I thought maybe I could look up ground effects on those cars if i knew I could take a bumper off one car and put it on another. Any ideas on what I should do?

Re: ground effects
In a word, no. Putting a nissan bumper on a toyota is no more likely to fit than using a bumper from a chevy pickup. You'd probably be better off custom building an entire fiberglass bumper than trying to get another brand to fit.
JCWhitney usually has ground effects for most cars.

Re: ground effects
What is the chassis code on your corolla?
Plenty off body kits around for them, but you may need to import one from another country. |

Re: ground effects
a body kit for a corolla? really? i know a company makes one you can order thru jcwhitney. but are you sure you want to spend the money you saved from having an efficient car on something that has no value at all? and will make your car actually worth less? most people dont take this into account that modifying a car lessens its value.
oh and beware.

Re: ground effects
Well, I read somewhere that it is possible to take a larger bumper and machine it down to fit what a smaller bumper would. I went to wikipedia and I compared somethings. On my 91 corolla, the wheelbase is 95.6 inches. On my 93 sentra the wheelbase is 95.7 inches. The overall width of my corolla is 65.1 inches and the sentra is 65.7. I know its not a prizm and corolla relationship, but the cars are similar enough. With the wheelbase that close, are we all sure there is no way it might fit? Prehaps if I look at where everything bolts on both bumpers? I'm just asking. As for finding the code? Where do I find that at and then where do I go?

It was my first car, so I don't plan on selling it. Sentimental value . The sentra I plan on selling. It was just winter car for me cause it snows alot and salt beats up a car body pretty good. My corolla already wouldn't sell except maybe to beaners its got a wing on the back, white stripes and stuff. I just wanted to get ground effects for it now, I just can't find any. JCwhitney. I looked. In fact it was the first place I looked cause my dad gets magazines from there, and they don't carry ground effects for a 91 corolla. Unless you know they do, I'd love to see the link.

Is that the VIN you speak of? In my VIN i found a AE94. Should the bumper code be in the VIN, if so, then the site you gave me never specified where it was. If not, what on the tag under the hood will tell me the bumper code? |

After searching on google. An AE94 appears to be specifically a corolla. |
