ignition is important becuase?

tell me why people always upgrad the ignition. Clearly there is more to it then just starting the car.

An aftermarket ignition system is really only needed on forced induction vehicles. Applications where a stronger, hotter spark is needed to light larger quanities of fuel. On a stock or almost stock mustang the money could probably be better spent on other mods.
