Brake sound problim

I have a problim...
My car is a 2002 Nissan Maxima with no performance mods, only exterior mods...

When I start the engine, I wait a few minutes so the engine heats and the RPM goes down, and the sound of the engine goes down...

I Release the hand brake

I put my foot on the brake

I put the car in D or R " as needed "

I Slowley Take my foot off the brake, and I hear this LOUD "GRRRRR" Sound coming from the brake

after driving for a while, when I slow down the sound goes away

Do I need to change the brake pads or what?

please help!

Thanks

does it sound like it is dragging? if it is, my 97 max does that too on the rear left brake. mine is from pulling the ebrake, then i take the ebrake off after its been sittin wiht it on for a while, somethin inside the caliper doesnt go back into place all the way and makes it drag. ususally after a lil while mine will stop tho. mine didnt do that until firestone put a set of pads of for me a while back. so im sure thoes SOB's had somethin to do with it

you need to check to see if the caliper is sticking on one of your brakes. to check this see if there is more wear on one brake then the others. I had this problem and I didn't catch it in time I thought my brakes just needed to be changed and my brakes went completely out on me luckily I was at a stop sign with no one in front of me.

Your car is under warranty, go back to the dealer.

that sound is very normal. what happens is that the brakes are cold and they need to be used a few times and they warm up. once they are at operating temp the sound goes away. something similae is when it rains and you see the yellowish shit on the rotors, after braking a few times the rotors clean off....

hey, this doesnt have anything to do with a max, but my dads crislyer(sp) van's right rear wheel locked completely up today. its like an 86-87 model, so i kno its kinda old, but the back wheel jus locked up, he went back and forth a few times and it finally broke loose, but then the breaks were makin a weird noise. kinda like they werent makin contact all the way to the rotors. anyway, we went down the road for a while and it stopped makin the noise and is workin fine now. he said he hasnt moved the van in like 2 weeks till today. he lives up here in WV and it has been cold and snowing and all that other crap for a while now, could the weather have caused the brakes to seize up, or is there somethin else that could have happend?
